  • If you've been triggered, you're in good company
    Jan 5 2025

Have you ever found yourself losing your mind without warning? Maybe a certain smell suddenly takes you back to your childhood, or a familiar song floods you with emotions from when you were 8 years old. These unexpected emotional reactions can leave you feeling confused and overwhelmed.

What you’re experiencing might be emotional triggers—moments when your brain reacts to something familiar, like a sound, scent, or memory, pulling you into a state of regression. Triggers are deeply tied to our past experiences, often revealing unresolved feelings or significant moments that shaped us.

If you’ve ever asked yourself, Why am I feeling this way?, you’re not alone. Triggers are a natural part of human psychology, but learning to identify and manage them is crucial for emotional well-being.

Whether it’s a sudden wave of nostalgia or an unexpected flood of anxiety, understanding your triggers can help you regain control and stay grounded. Keep reading to explore how triggers work, why they happen, and practical ways to respond when they surface.
