Today, Liz starts the episode with the tale of the senseless murder of 18-year-old Bianca Rosado, who was shot and killed in the streets of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Then, Katie tells the unsolved murder of two best friends, Luis Acevedo and Andrew Robinson, who were shot to death in their Worcester, Massachusetts apartment. Their murder remains unsolved to this day.

Today, the girl’s talk about the terrible stabbing death of college student Sharon Gregory out of Greenfield, Massachusetts. Sharon had been discovered by her twin sister, who immediately was able to point the investigation in the correct direction: towards a local outcast who had an obsession for horror movies and horror villains, Mark Branch. Sharon’s killer donned a mask similar to Jason Voorhees’ before stabbing her multiple times; a desire he had and had mentioned to several people on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, Mark hung himself almost immediately after committing his brutal crime, and justice was never served for Sharon Gregory.

Join Katie and Liz on this week’s special Halloween episode of True Crime New England as they venture into the history of Massachusetts' Belchertown State School. From the years of 1918-1992, this institution, beginning with the intent of reforming those with intellectual and physical disabilities and reintegrating them into society, steadily practiced neglect and mistreatment of nearly 1000 residents at a time. It wasn’t until the 1970’s that reports would come detailing the squalor, lack of staffing, and abuse these residents faced. Tune in to hear the disturbing and haunting facts surrounding the lives of those who lived at the Belchertown State School, and about several who have died there. Many believe the now abandoned school itself is haunted.

On this week’s second special Halloween episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz take a trip to the “Northeastern Kingdom” of Vermont, where the legendary Brunswick Springs resides. Rumored to be the home of waters with healing powers in Abenaki legend, the tales from the springs date all the way back to the 1740’s. A greedy soldier who was healed by the waters decided to bottle it and sell it, and when that led to conflict that escalated to violence, a shaman’s child was killed. Legend has it that in her grief and despair, the Brunswick Springs were forever cursed. Tune in to hear the details of the tragedies that occurred on the lands after, and decide for yourself whether or not it is related to the curse.

To kick things off, the girls talk about the children of the Attleboro Cult, founded as “The Church of Mansfield” in 1977 by Roland Robidoux in Massachusetts. Controversy and scandal surrounded the sect in 1999 when it was discovered by a former member that a toddler had been starved to death on the command of his estranged wife’s “vision from God.” Investigation into the cult also revealed another missing infant while searching for the murdered child. Tune in to hear the origins of this cult and the lead up to what turned out to be a brutal and maniacal ending to something that started out so harmlessly.

It's time for another True Crime New England case profile. The girls tell two frustrating tales this week, one solved and the other unsolved. First, Liz tells the story of the disappearance of recent El Salvador immigrant, Reina Rojas, who went missing out of Boston, Massachusetts in November of 2022. Then, Katie talks about the frustrating fatal shooting of Steven Latimer out of Providence, Rhode Island in 2011. Steven was shot while in a car with several other people, and the perpetrator was eventually caught.
