Trump has a new case when she accompanies Dr Jeanie on a visit to a mare named Helen of Troy. Helen is due to have a foal, but her close companion, Paris the Dalmatian, isn't well. How can Trump persuade Helen to put Paris’s needs before her own? And how can she persuade Paris?

Trump the Animal Liaison Officer has her paws full with Dr. Jeanie’s new patient. Cranky Paws, the cat hates everyone: people, dogs, cats, and other animals. Dr. Jeanie can heal her injuries, but what will happen after that? Is there anyone who can offer Cranky Paws a home? And will Cranky Paws accept?

Jill Russell has a secret, and Foxie is as angry as a terrier can be. Someone tossed a packet of biscuits over Foxie's fence, and Auntie Tidge took them away. This means war. Since Foxie adores Auntie Tidge he has to fight with someone else - Jack. But Foxie isn't the only dog acting strangely. Lord Red has found something interesting down at the reserve, and soon all the dogs of Doggeroo are playing hunt the biscuit. Bellyaches result, the vet is cross, and the dogs find themselves under house arrest.

Foxie is on a diet, and Jack has things on his mind. When Auntie Tidge takes delivery of boxes of sausages, Foxie is delighted, until Caterina Smith takes them all away. Foxie is determined that Jack must solve the case of the stolen sausages, but Jack, for once, isn't sure there even is a case. He and Foxie join Lord Red, Auntie Tidge, Sarge, Caterina Smith, Polly, and just about everyone else at the Doggeroo Dog and Sausage Day. There are sausages galore, and plenty of schemes and drooling dogs, but is there really a thief?

Doggeroo has been running its famous Annual Dog Show for 150 years, and this year Jack's landlord, Sarge, is one of the stewards.

Jack Russell: the detective with a nose for crime. What's happening to the collars of Doggeroo? First Shuffle the Pug gets mugged. Then the ranger catches him without a collar. So when Red's collar is stolen, Jack knows he has a case on his hands. Will an attack of the Jack-pack be enough to nobble the mugger? Can Jack get to the bottom of - The Mugged Pug.

Not only does he accuse Foxie of biting him, but he also calls Jack a mongrel! And when Fat Molly Cat from the Library comes to stay with Auntie Tidge, things don't get any better.
