This story is the sequel to "WINDSTORM." Listeners of Windstorm will remember the ending, with perhaps a little despair and may have said "You can't leave it like this!" Well, I haven't and this story takes up from where WINDSTORM left off, there will be some shocks in store and times where your heart is in your mouth, but one thing I do promise....

Growing up in Central Africa in the 1950's-60's was an exciting time. A boy that was mischievous and a dead ringer for the characters 'Dennis' or 'Huckleberry Finn' and inclined to be accident prone was a pretty good recipe for almost daily disasters. Here I present some of them, a laugh, a bit of horror, poignant love stories and near death experiences fill the book.

It's the middle the 19th Century and Africa is begging to be explored. David Livingstone, Herbert Stanley, and Cecil John Rhodes push the British Empire into as many parts of it as they can. Someone suggests there are Rubies to found in West Africa—Queen Victoria dispatches her envoy to find the ruby seam and stake a claim on behalf of Her Britannic Majesty.

Archie Mellor is a retired SAS commando, who has served all over the world, and several times in Africa. He is disgruntled to be called out of retirement from his Pub home in Scotland to a meeting in London. He is told that he is to head up a special operation in South Africa with a crack team chosen by the Intelligence Service to serve under him. He is not pleased to hear that one of them is a woman, though he learns later how valuable she is to the mission. It is 1987, the winds of change are beginning to blow, and Archie knows there is going to be a windstorm.

This book is not for those with weak stomachs or who may be squeamish. If you are prone to nightmares, give this book a miss. The author describes horrific motorcycle crashes, near death situations with helicopters and some cameo descriptions of life in a Game Reserve including the humorous day of the Mpundu, when drunk monkeys fall out of a tree. This is better than the first part and will hold your attention to the last tragic chapter, laugh with the author, cry with him and feel what he felt.

Marie is heard to call herself 'The unluckiest woman in the World' as she relates tragic events in her life. Once happily married, with two pretty daughters, her world is turned upside down when Ian, her husband, leaves her for another woman. She meets Barry, and life is wonderful, for a while, then Barry walks out of her life.
