Meet the Williamson sisters, Britain's most treasured World War II veterans. Now in their nineties, Josephine and Penny are in demand, popping up at commemorative events all over the country. Despite their age, they're in great form-sprightly and sparky, and always in search of their next "excitement." This time it's a trip to Paris to receive the Légion d'honneur, accompanied by their devoted great-nephew, Archie.

Le due sorelle Williamson, Penny e Josephine, sono nell'ordine: veterane della Resistenza francese, ottime ballerine di foxtrot, grandi bestemmiatrici sempre pronte a bere un Martini ben fatto, e - ma è solo un dettaglio - ultranovantenni. Lo sa bene il nipote Archie, il loro "agente", che le scarrozza alle varie commemorazioni di fatti della Seconda guerra mondiale cui sono invitate come ospiti d'onore. Quel che Archie non sa è che il passato delle due care prozie non è esattamente limpidissimo.
