Dr. J.B. Rhine, a psychologist at Duke University, was the world's outstanding authority and scientific pioneer in the fields of ESP and psychokinesis. The Reach of the Mind is Dr. Rhine's story of his findings, and the techniques he has developed, over many years, to scientifically measure non-physical factors of man's mind: telepathy, clairvoyance, and the force which the mind can physically produce upon inanimate objects. When the The Reach of the Mind was first released, it greatly impressed Carl Jung, who used it as a basis for his theories on synchronicity.

J. B. Rhine (1895-1980), widely considered to be the father of modern parapsychology, was the world's leading investigator of psychic phenomena, ESP, and the paranormal.
