"Que el bien os acompañe" es junto a "Todo fluye" lo último que escribió Vasili Grossman. Si "Todo fluye" es su testamento político, "Que el bien os acompañe" es su testamento personal. A finales de 1961, cuando ya daba "Vida y destino" por desaparecida en manos de la KGB, y enfermo del cáncer que acabaría con su vida, Grossman recibe el encargo de traducir una novela del armenio. Estará dos meses en el Cáucaso, y hay algo allí, en esa tierra y su gente, que a Grossman le parece cercano: el sufrimiento armenio es hermano del sufrimiento judío.
