As many times before, Dual’s impulsive nature and reckless actions had contributed to him being flung into what was to be an almost-certain death. This story picks up largely where we left him, detailing the many twists and turns of his quite ludicrous escape(s) and subsequent more misadventures. Dual Geller was a man for whom to "stop and think" were things that "other people" did. "Other people", possibly less equipped with his superhuman-like luck, guile, and expertise.

Legitt Redd was many things to many people: lifelong friend, occasional employee, regular drunken liability.... And yet, for Legitt Redd, all facets of his personality seemed to be going nowhere fast--a speed and direction that had been carefully honed and crafted over many painstaking years. He forever lived his life not as its willful director but as its obliging passenger. Times, however, were about to change. Unwittingly, his life, and his lazy coasting attitude toward it, was about to take a dramatic turn to considerably stormier waters.

A tale of space exploration interspersed with nail-biting action (or something very much like that). A ripping yarn told from the point of view of them who went there. "I tried to imagine a situation where a cast of several, are in fact one and the same. An individual trapped alone in space surrounded by versions of themselves, each with their own separate opinions. If it takes a village to raise a child, it would at least take a handful to trek through space (even if only imaginary).

In the last bastion of humanity, life was not all a bed of roses. On a seemingly unimportant Wednesday morning, in a seemingly unimportant dwelling, an actually unimportant inhabitant was rudely awakened…
