Rhys has lived his entire life with a backdrop of dread. As a child, the sentence he feared most was "come downstairs and say hello." Age 5 he feigned injury to avoid dancing at a wedding, and 25 years later, he celebrated when the venue set on fire moments before what would've been the biggest gig of his life. You'll Like It When You Get There is a guide to life from someone who doesn't want to do anything, and an exploration of why you possibly shouldn't either.

In series 1, Rhys examines his privileged status, chats to his mum and dad, and reluctantly speaks to a girl he had a crush on in school. He also explores the topic of wisdom in his own unique way, by reading a letter he wrote to his future self at 10 years old. In Series 2, Rhys attempts to become more politically engaged by one week trying out one set of opinions, the next week, another. He asks questions such as why we are not doing more to save the planet, whether Facebook is actually spying on us and whether gender-neutral toilets are really worth it.

For many performers, their biggest fears is that people will find the creative writing they produced when they were younger. Early poetry, short stories, song lyrics, scripts and more shouldn't stay hidden in shoe boxes in our parents' house or in password protected folders on our laptops. It’s time we monetised that shame and gave those pieces the public outing our 15 year old selves would’ve wanted. Each week a guest brings something they wrote in their adolescence to be discussed and co-analysed with Rhys - who will be bringing something embarrassing of his own to level the playing ...
