It’s 1968, London is in full swing, and the Savoy Hotel is at the height of its legendary glitz and glamour, welcoming the rich, famous, and aristocratic into its rarified world of perfection. Royals wait upstairs in luxurious suites for discreet encounters. All is as it should be at the Savoy. If only it weren’t for the dead body in Room 705. Could it be murder? Impossible! Who could have done such a thing? Suspicion falls upon Priscilla Tempest, the quick-witted Canadian head of the Savoy press office who has a penchant for champagne, the wrong sort of men—and trouble.

The rich and famous are converging on the iconic Savoy Hotel in swinging '60s London—including a famous Broadway producer with anger issues, a demanding Indian raja, and a gorgeous film star with certain kinky predilections. All is as it should be—until the murder of a showgirl threatens to scandalize the hotel.

Quand Miss Kane, une jeune danseuse du cabaret de l’hôtel, est retrouvée morte, étranglée dans les loges à la fin d’une représentation, un nouveau scandale menace l’établissement. Qui a pu commettre un tel crime ? L’assassin n’est peut-être pas qui l’on croit entre le producteur américain, l’actrice la plus en vogue du moment et les frères Kray, des gangsters notoires.

The last thing Tree Callister wants is to get involved in the movie that is being shot on Sanibel Island. But the film deals with the Hollywood life of his best pal, Rex Baxter. Cast as Rex is the legendary movie star John Twist who was lured out of retirement to play the role. Twist is a nasty, difficult drunk who needs a minder to make sure he stays sober. Tree, against his better judgment, gets dragged into the job. As filming begins, everyone involved soon comes to despise Twist. Tree has his hands full trying to keep the aging star in line.
