Deidra Ann es una niña de doce años que vive en el sur de Estados Unidos a mediados de la década de 1960. Viviendo con su abuela y su tía, Deidra Ann nunca ha conocido a su madre. Deidra Ann is a 12-year-old girl living in southern United States during the mid-1960s. Living with her grandmother and aunt, Deidra Ann has never met her mother. Behind their house is a forest where mysterious things happen; a forest that is off limits to Deidra Ann. Some claim that her grandmother is a witch. When Deidra Ann's classmate Jenny goes missing, they all want to help. Especially Deidra Ann, as it gives her a chance to explore the secretive, mysterious woods - and maybe prove the rumors about her grandmother right.
