本オーディオブックは、大正六年に刊行された短篇集「羅生門」全十四話と後書を読んだものです。この集に入っている短篇は、「羅生門」「狢」「忠義」を除いて、芥川龍之介が数え年二十五歳の一年間に書かれたものです。そして多くは自分たちが経営した雑誌「新思潮」に一度掲載されたものです。恐らく初めてお聞きになる作品もあるとおもいますが、二十五歳という青年が人の心の奥に潜むものをここまで描ききった作品に出会えることに感動を覚えることと思います。当時の出版では、版を重ねるたびに作者自身が変更を加えることもよくありましたので、みなさんのご存知の内容と微妙に違うところもあるかもしれません。本オーディオブックでオリジナルに近いものをお聞きください。また「羅生門の後に」と題した後書にも思わぬ発見をすることとおもいます。(C)株式会社AIR
