「小岩井農場の北に、黒い松の森が四つあります。いちばん南が狼森で、その次が笊森、次は黒坂森、北のはずれは盗人森です。」 森に囲まれた地に四人の百姓たちがやってきて、「ここに畑起してもいいかあ」、と森にちゃんと許可を受け、家族を呼び寄せて住み始めます。 森にはそれぞれ特徴があり、一つ一つの森と交流しながら、百姓たちは生活を育んでいきます。神秘的な森が擬人化され、人々の営みがほのぼのと描かれた作品です。 弓削智久の素朴な情景描写をお楽しみください。
