Regnum Christi essays are extended, in-depth reflections on particular aspects of life as a Regnum Christi member. An essay may develop the nature of a virtue, showing what that virtue might look like when lived out in harmony with the Regnum Christi identity and mission. An essay may explore the challenges of living out one of the commitments shared by all members. An essay may be instructive, explaining the history, context, and meaning of certain movement traditions.

Regnum Christi has always been passionate about integral formation. Each member’s ongoing journey to Christian maturity (that’s the simplest way to summarize what we mean by the phrase “integral formation” - the ongoing pilgrimage of faith that gradually leads us to greater and greater intimacy with God, apostolic fruitfulness, and personal fulfillment) is not only an instrument that enables us to evangelize better, the way training enhances an athlete’s performance during the actual competition.

For current Regnum Christi members in every state of life, as well for inquirers and future members, the Statutes of the Federation will remain a firm reference point as we journey forward together serving the Church. And so, a short introduction to the Statutes - a presentation of their critical numbers and concepts, and of the new doors they open for living out the Regnum Christi vocation - could be a useful tool. That is what this Regnum Christi essay, What Is Regnum Christi? will attempt to provide.
