Story
After the sighting of strange lights in the sky, the dismembered, burnt remains of the local RAF base commander are discovered in his car. An autopsy reveals that the victim showed signs of exposure to high radiation levels. Assistant Chief Constable Angela White enlists the aid of both John Handful and local reporter Yazmin Nash. The level of radiation the killer leaves in its wake should have killed any normal man by now, but the murders continue. When a leading government minister arrives the pressure is on for Handful to solve the case not only quickly but also quietly.

Story
When all else fails. When people think their world is ending. When they have no choice but to ask for help. They call for me, I am the last line of defense. My name is Olivia. I am the Alpha to a mostly female pack. We get called on jobs all over the world, dealing with rogues. This job is a little too close to home. My mates are former military men that don’t want to fight any more. They just want to live in peace with others like them. They show up in my woods needing my help. Now my mates and my pack are on the line.

Story
The Tate Britain’s "display", Seeing Africa - it was hardly big enough to be called a proper exhibition - raised more questions than it answered. Consisting of paintings and sculptures drawn from a single private collection, it aimed to explore the subject of Africanisme through images of African people and African landscape made by European painters who traveled to the Dark Continent at the height of the colonial epoch. That is to say between the 1870s and the 1950s.

Story
It is a historical peculiarity of landscape painting that it begins with the artificial, and only after that proceeds towards the natural. For example, landscape paintings, and especially fanciful Nilotic panoramas, were one of the genres produced by artists in Pompeii. When, with the Renaissance, landscape painting once again started to establish itself after a long interval, the representations of the surrounding world that artists began to produce as a separate and independent genre, rather than simply as a background for human figures, were usually more fanciful than real.
