Summary
Peace is not the human way.
War stirs in the distance, out of the edges of thought. Trouble brews through the land even though a great evil has been quelled.
Garek is a traitor to his kind. A minotaur that has given up war. An example must be set. A horde marches for these lands to claim his life.
Through this all, the farm grows. The attention of many is on this new God-slayer, and they find not a great adventurer, but a farmer, content in his ways. The Gods Above are not pleased with contention.
They demand entertainment.

the narrator slays, but not as much as the minotaur
I really liked the chemistry between Garrick and the other characters in this story, and how he keeps getting dragged into more and more drama while he personally just wants to keep farming. I think that the surprise evolution of a relationship between Garrick and another character could be seen as quite out of nowhere to some, but maybe with time they will continue the story in the next volume, whenever that one releases. speaking of there probably is going to volume, the ending very much indicates that. I recommend it, for the narrator alone, who is astonishing in narrating this story.

Great story
thoroughly enjoyable book not sure if there'll be a book three or not but I'm hoping that will be because if this is the last book it was okay ending but has been left open for a possible third book maybe

More of the same.
Story is mediocre but narrator is great. Buy it if you liked the first but perhaps give it a pass if you're on the fence.
